REGISTERED NURSE
Pay rate: $34.93 - $35.73 + benefits
Location: In-person, Dickinson (North Dakota)
Full-time, 36-40 hours per week
Licensing required:
- Currently licensed within the State of North Dakota as a Registered Nurse
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Valid driver's license and insurance
JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for providing health care in a manner that focuses on the personal outcomes and health issues that matter most to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AS THEY RELATE TO PEOPLE SUPPORTED:
- Health care coordination
- Respond and intervene during accidents, injuries, and illnesses; schedule, attend, and follow up on all necessary medical appointments and therapies; monitor health care; and document all actions and follow-ups.
- Coordinate hospital admission and discharge, emergency room treatment, out-of-town travel for appointments.
- Provide health care education to people supported as the need indicates.
- GER review and direction
- Provide medical assessment and follow-up of suspected abuse and neglect for people supported.
- Rotate agency Nursing On-Call
SPECIFIC DUTIES AS THEY RELATE TO STAFF:
- Provide training and ensure competency of direct care staff for delegated nursing tasks, and assist the Director of Nursing in addressing staff injury/illness impacts on job performance.
REGISTERED NURSE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Currently licensed within the State of North Dakota as a Registered Nurse
- Prefer one year of experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
- Prefer one year of case management experience
- Remain current on CPR and First Aid certification
- Valid driver's license
- Computer knowledge. Preferred knowledge of Outlook, Teams, & Therap.
- Prefer experience with standards such as ICF/DD and The Council
